For the past 28 years we have been focused on helping you sell more, making more money in your stores and boosting the productivity of your store teams (read: sell more!).  Of course, there’s nothing wrong with that. That’s still the end objective.

But, let’s take a step back for a moment.

Why are we here?   I don’t think anyone will be on their deathbed one day lamenting that they missed Q2 sales results or that Conversion Rates were down by 0.4.

What we will remember are the lives we’ve touched, moved and inspired … and those that did the same for us.  That may sound a little sappy, but it’s very true.

So, how does this relate to training?  Every store still needs to sell more.  We still need to teach staff how to sell. We still need to give managers the skills they need.  We still need to train DMs how to do their job.

At Graff Retail, we’re still in the business of delivering what we think is the best online and classroom training available.  That’s not going away.

But what we want to change is the discussion around ‘why’ we train and develop staff.  We want to reframe the vision for training.  We want to add more value to what we do.

Let’s consider moving the discussion towards giving your sales teams the skills they need to provide them with the confidence they need in their lives outside of work, in their future careers, in their relationships, and yes, on the sales floor.

Let’s consider talking about giving your managers the skills they need to reduce their stress, inspire their teams, boost their confidence and make them future Leaders.

Let’s move the discussion at Head Offices to one where we look for ways to create great staff experiences … and let’s not forget … creating a great experience for everyone at Head Office too.

We believe that when we create this new Focus and Vision for training, together we’ll do something bigger than just training your staff. Together, we can touch, move and inspire them to be the best they can be in their lives.  Let’s help everyone reach their full potential.
